3rd Annual Burnaby Lake BioBlitz
4pm May 11th – 4pm May 12th, 2012
Join us as we try and figure out what is living at Burnaby Lake! Scientists and Naturalists are racing to find as many species as possible in 24 hours at Burnaby Lake Regional Park (see the location page for directions)! Help them out by learning about the biodiversity of this backyard park. Visit for just a little while, or explore for the entire event, there will be lots going on all the time. Pond dipping, bug hunting and ID walks are just some of the great ways to try your hand at identification and learn just what it out there.
Fun for the Whole Family
In addition to the species surveys, there will be ongoing public events. Pond dipping, nature walks, live animals and the Nature House are just some of the cool things that will be happening throughout the day. Check out the activities page for more details about when these are happening!
